gcin-qt5-immodule software package provides Qt5 input method module with gcin as backend, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gcin-qt5-immodule
gcin-qt5-immodule is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gcin-qt5-immodule package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gcin-qt5-immodule *
You will get with gcin-qt5-immodule package name, version, architecture and description in a table
